LEGAL AND POLITICAL ISSUES IN SPECIAL EDUCATION

Catalog description

This course will explore the genesis of special education law through an examination of the history of teaching children who live with disabilities. The course will also investigate the current legal and political climate concerning servicing this population. This course will provide knowledge of special education policy and procedure that prospective teachers may utilize in their everyday practice and advocacy.
