Catalog description

This course explores the evolving role of educational leaders in American education. Participants will learn to develop a vision for improvement, make informed decisions, manage conflict, reflect on practices, and enhance teacher capacity while fostering a respectful school climate centered on people focused leadership. The course covers key leadership concepts and practical tools for evaluating and prioritizing actions. Additionally, it addresses the organization and control of American schools, including federal mandates, state and local governance, and the influence of various stakeholder groups.
