This course will examine disaster response, crisis prevention, and intervention. Students will increase their knowledge and application of crisis assessment, prevention, and intervention techniques drawn from theoretical frameworks, including the time-limited nature of crisis intervention, related legal and ethical issues, and appropriate interfacing with relevant service providers.
