Catalog description

Prerequisite: Courses taught at the level of Introduction to College Composition with a grade of "C" or higher or "Pass" or equivalent or appropriate placement based on the college’s multiple measures process with eligibility for ENGL C1000 or ENGL C1000E. This course provides an opportunity for students to explore their interest in literary creativity by writing original short fiction, poetry, play or screenplay, or magazine article(s). Writers will gain understanding of each literary type, have the opportunity to create in each area, and be introduced to the workshop method of criticism.
