This course introduces literary global perspectives focusing on literature from the Americas, Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Topics include influential U.S. documents and a Shakespearian play. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze how complex characters develop over the course of a text and advance/develop the plot/theme.
