This course includes an emphasis on mathematical communication and connections using real world problem-solving, algebraic reasoning, and calculator skills; these are skills that colleges and the business world feel are essential for success. They include the skills necessary to support the development of mathematical understanding, to solve mathematical problems, and to prepare students for the workplace and future study. Topics include number sense and operations, algebraic thinking, geometry, measurement, data analysis, statistics and probability.
