Catalog description
This course is design to build and expand upon students' proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The course's emphasis is on building a wide range of communicative skills, the development of oral and written communication skills, academic rigor, increasing work-readiness, basic literacy concepts, the English alphabet, and key vocabulary skills. Upon completion, students should be able to communicate basic and personal information in English, communicate work-related functions, and in social situations, to communicate complex topics in English, demonstrate a higher degree of work readiness toward job training and career opportunities, and able to transition into advanced level of ESL.
