Explorng Firsthand Sci Lessons

Catalog description

This seminar course aims to provide a learning environment in which students learn science and science teaching from firsthand science lessons. Students learn from invited speakers as well science articles written by science teachers. Expanding this learning opportunity, in the two credit hour version of the course, students will be working with in-service teachers in K-12 public school setting for 30 hours. Students who are aiming for secondary science certification must register for two hours. This a professional education course and requires a grade of C or better for education majors.
