Catalog description

In this course, we will explore family therapy theory-driven models to prepare couple and family therapists to work in therapeutic settings with children and adolescents using family therapy. Students will learn best practice for assessments and treatments using evidenced-based models and intervention with developmental, cultural, and contextual considerations to ethically engage key systems (parents, schools, other caregiving systems) in treatment of children and families.
