Catalog description

Provides an overview of the major moral philosophies and allows students to understand how ethical theories may be applied to ongoing problems and issues. It also reviews laws and policies that exist, as well as rules of conduct and protocol, and it identifies the legal and extralegal factors that influence these laws, policies, and rules. By evaluating critical issues in law enforcement, courts, and corrections, students will be given the opportunity to better understand the complexities involved with decision-making by criminal justice practitioners/professionals.
