Survey of hearing science and audiology, including basic acoustics and psychoacoustics, anatomy and physiology of the auditory system, and fundamental theories of hearing. Introduction to clinical audiology procedures with emphasis on pure-tone and speech audiometry, calibration, and basic site-of-lesion testing. Laboratory experience provides hands-on practice in hearing measurement techniques.
