Catalog description

This course introduces counseling theories, interviewing techniques, and evidence-based support strategies for individuals with communication, hearing, cognition, swallowing, and related disorders, as well as their families and care partners. Students will explore the roles and responsibilities of speech-language pathologists and audiologists in providing counseling within their scope of practice, including information sharing, adjustment support, and collaboration with other professionals.
