Healthcare Finance and Economics

Catalog description

This course introduces students to health care finance and economics. Students will develop an understanding of the history of health care in the United States and how it compares to other developed countries. Topics to be explored include: financing and reimbursement methods, healthcare delivery systems, access and allocation of services/resources, and the budgeting process with financial monitoring, cost reduction and efficiency.
