Catalog description
This course provides a foundational overview of evidence-based practice (EBP) to promote continuous quality improvement. The course is focused on the identification of an issue in the healthcare setting where EBP is needed to promote health promotion, improved health/learning outcomes, and injury reduction. Utilizing the 7-steps of the EBP process; students will conduct a literature review of current research, appraise evidence for potential solutions, plan a practice change, explore EBP models, and develop a strategy to disseminate knowledge.
