Evidence-Based Adaption Nursing II

Catalog description
(6 lecture/2 clinical hours). This course focuses on concepts of adaptation nursing related to oxygenation needs: circulatory, respiratory, and hematologic systems; and regulatory needs: problems of the neurologic system and the endocrine system. The adaptation model and evidence-based practice are used to promote the highest potential for individuals and families of varying developmental levels and cultures within a variety of healthcare settings. The lab, clinical, and simulation contact hours meet the Missouri State Board of Nursing guidelines for the credit hours awarded. Prerequisites: NU309 - Psychosocial Integrity, NU317 - Pharmacology II, NU318 - Pharmacology III, and NU321 - Public Health and Community Nursing Concepts
