Catalog description
This lab course provides hands-on active learning strategies for students to learn and demonstrate competence in hands-on assessment skills, basic nursing skills, and terminology pertinent to safe, effective nursing care. Students participate in the scheduled lab and are expected to use the skills lab on an independently scheduled basis to practice the necessary psychomotor skills to achieve competence in the aforementioned skills. Lab contact hours meet the Carnegie 2:1 ratio for credit awarded (1 credit hour).
