Catalog description

An introduction to applied statistical analysis of data. Topics include, but are not limited to: graphical and numerical summaries of data, sampling, experimental design, simulations, probability distributions, statistical inference through estimation, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing, linear and multiple regression, analysis of variance, other statistical models, and software for performing statistical analyses. Prerequisites: MA504 - Writing Mathematical Documents Including LaTex and MA509 - Proof In Mathematics. Additional Prerequisites / Conditions: or instructor's permission
