Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the process of client assessment in behavior health. Topics will include: interview skills, developing a rapport with clients, signs and symptoms to document, and special populations and situations. Prerequisites: BEH200 - Introduction to Behavior Health, BEH205 - Evidence Based Treatments, BEH210 - Diagnosis of Identified Populations, BEH215 - Motivational Interviewing, BEH220 - Substance Use Disorders, and BEH300 - Professional Practice in Behavior Health. Additional Prerequisites / Conditions: Must earn a C to pass this course.
