This course provides an overview of the surgical techniques utilized by the orthopedic technology profession and develops the fundamental concepts and principles necessary to successfully participate on an orthopedic surgical team. Topics include: orientation to orthopedic surgical techniques, asepsis and the surgical environment, basic orthopedic ACADEMIC PROGRAMS CENTRAL GEORGIA TECHNICAL COLLEGE instrumentation and equipment, principles of sterilization process and application.
