Catalog description

A required course for the Elementary Education and Special Education programs. This course focuses on the development of science content knowledge that is emphasized in elementary and special education curricula. The course will address and facilitate active discovery learning leading to the construction of new knowledge and the formation of scientific concepts for accurately understanding and explaining the natural world. Lecture and laboratory. Prerequisites: BIOL 1400, 1401, or 1402; and PHYS 1400.
