Catalog description
This graduate-level course provides lecture and laboratory instruction in the advanced management of patients and clients with extremity dysfunctions. Emphasis is placed on comprehensive examination, evaluation, differential diagnosis, prognosis, and evidence-based intervention strategies building upon previous foundational courses of Anatomy and Kinesiology. Students will have initial exposure to hands-on examination and treatment through multiple client experiences with licensed therapists. Students will develop advanced critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills to support accurate decision-making in preparation for active engagement in future clinical settings. Prerequisite: Admission to Graduate Physical Therapy Program or consent of instructor.
