Catalog description

The first semester course focus is on the foundation concepts upon which the remainder of the curriculum is built. This course provides the basis for professionalism, embracing core values and ethics of the profession, understanding and embracing the use of occupation, and valuing of person-centered practice that is evidenced-based and contextually relevant. In addition, students are expected to develop skills to critically search the evidence and be competent consumers of scholarly literature as related to occupational therapy practice, which provides a foundation for engaging in scholarly activities later in the program.
