Emphasizes the philosophical, theoretical, and empirical foundations of the nurse educator role for student education, continuing education, and staff development, or patient/client education. Core content includes principles of teaching-learning, learner assessment, developing/selecting instructional materials, preparing teaching plans, and classroom, laboratory/simulation, and online instruction strategies. Prerequisite: Admission to the MSN program or permission of the department chair.
