Catalog description
This course is a continuation of Medical-Surgical Nursing I and focuses on the management of patients with emergent and acute conditions in complex environments. Emphasis is placed upon clinical reasoning, advanced medical technology, assessment skills, and collaborative practice with interprofessional teams. Students will acquire and synthesize data, plan and provide nursing care, and evaluate outcomes of adult patients in acute care settings. 3 credit hours theory and 2 credit hours clinical. Students will complete 90 hours of supervised clinical experiences. Prerequisite: NURS 3525.
