GRADUATE RECITAL

Catalog description

Preparation and performance of a public recital, to be evaluated by a faculty jury. Required for the MM degrees in Performance and Conducting. Each MM Performance and MM Conducting student will be responsible for securing and presenting as evidence audio and video recordings (MP4 or DVD), and printed programs with program notes written by the student and approved by the applied professor, as proof of the successful completion of a performance recital and rehearsals leading to successful conducting performance. Recordings must be provided for rehearsals and the performances and must be secured by the graduate student and presented to the Music Office within 5 business days following the final performance / recital. For conductors, the graduate recital may take place over the course of the four semesters of study rather than one 60-minute culminating performance. Registration for the Graduate Recital will be in the final semester of the MM degree work.Preparation and performance of a public recital, to be evaluated by a faculty jury.
