Catalog description

A study of the principles of strict contrapuntal writing in two, three, and four voices as composed in the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. Methods of instruction include lecture, discussion, and laboratory. Prerequisite: MUS 2000 and the following courses with a grade of C or higher: MUS 2252, MUS 2253, and either MUS 2134 or MUSA 2V30.
