ACTING FOR SINGERS

Catalog description

One of the courses for the Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance degree program, students will learn the skills that will allow them to develop in the realm of singing acting. The class will cover topics such as: improvisation, mime, stage combat, body awareness, and non-verbal communication techniques. This course will also cover issues pertaining to acting to music while singing. Prerequisites: MUS 2000 and the following courses with a grade of C or higher: MUS 2252, MUS 2253, and either MUS 2134 or MUSA 2V30.
