Catalog description

A required course in the logistics and supply chain management major and minor and an elective in the management and marketing majors and minors. The course specifically focuses on motor carrier safety regulations, their implementation, and government policy issues, provides a high-level integration of safety theories (e.g., high-reliability theory and normal accident theory) along with a thorough examination of safety technologies, protocols, and regulations.
