Focuses on principles of child development and learning theories involving expectations, motivation, reinforcement, modeling, and constructivism; addresses the analyses of childhood strategies for children and adolescents, including Piaget, Skinner, Montessori, responsive environments, contingency management, social dramatic play, and didactic teaching. Prerequisite: Admission to graduate program. Offered Fall, Spring, Summer.
