Catalog description
An elective course for kinesiology and physical education majors and students seeking a coaching endorsement. This course emphasizes techniques of effective coaching, the use of progressive drills, a study of the basic offensive and defensive formations and patterns, and team development for competitive football programs. Lecture, simulations, discussion, and a required 10-hour field experience scheduled outside of class meeting times. Prerequisite: Major status or consent of instructor.
