Catalog description

This course explores evidence-based practices that support the academic and behavioral growth of all learners. The course examines the historical events that led to federal legislation for the education of children with disabilities. Special education terminology, practices, and procedures related to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) are covered. Course is required for Elementary Education K-6 majors, Special Education K-12 majors, and Special Education minors.
