Catalog description

An introduction to digital forensics. Topics include creating and preserving digital evidence, data recovery and evidence collection algorithms, evidence construction and reconstruction, methods for certifying evidence, storing evidence, data acquisition, forensic analysis algorithms, image files, network forensics, logging methods to trace back attacks and digital trails, email investigations. A required course for Cybersecurity majors. Prerequisite: CSEC 2300 and CSCI 4305. [UD UCA Core: I]
