Catalog description
A required course for Data Science majors. Students will apply the knowledge they have gained through the program to solve real–world, interdisciplinary data science problems. Large projects will be designed for students to work on in teams throughout the semester. The application areas for such projects will depend on the instructor and include the following: Computational Semantics, Automated Software Analytics, Data Visualization for Pattern Discovery, Quantum Machine Learning, Medical Image Analysis, Multimodal Emotion Analysis, Clinical Record Interpretation with GenAl, Crisis Informatics, and Social Media Analytics. Students will demonstrate their knowledge and skills and present their results through professional oral presentations and written reports. Prerequisite: CSCI 4370. [UD UCA Core: Z]
