Catalog description
This course is intended for mid-career students and focuses on managing information technology (IT) projects. Students will use a variety of project management software and analytical tools to design, organize, monitor, and evaluate projects and project metrics. This is a managerial focused and not an applied course. The course emphasizes the project management processes endorsed by the Project Management Institute (PMI), the largest PM certifying organization in the world. This course will prepare students for roles on PM teams and preparing them for their certifying exam (Project Management Professional [PMP]).
