Catalog description
Required course for the ACS-certified chemistry BS degree: Biochemistry Track; ACS-certified chemistry BS degree: Standard Track; and the BS with major in chemistry degree. A survey of the structure and functions of important classes of biomolecules. Metabolism, processing of genetic information, and current topics in biochemistry will be addressed. Three hours of lecture per week. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in CHEM 3411 and BIOL 1440.
