Catalog description

A core course for biology majors. This introduction to ecology covers population, community, and ecosystem ecology of organisms including bacteria, fungi, plants, and animals. It focuses on the interactions of organisms with each other and with their abiotic environment. Lecture and laboratory. Prerequisites: BIOL 1441 (C or better) and an introductory statistics course (GEOG 2330, MATH 2311, PSCI 2312, PSYC 2330, QMTH 2330, or SOC 2321) with a C or better. [UD UCA Core: I]
