Area studies course for majors and minors. Introduction to transparent and opaque watercolor painting characteristics, drawing, digital media influences, and experimental media. Emphasis on contemporary materials, processes, concepts, and surface design in 2D. Studies in visual composition. Studio. Prerequisites: ART 1210, 1220, 1230, 1270, 1280, and 1290; and 3324 or 3326.
