CERTIFICATIONS IN ACCOUNTING

Catalog description

(Variable credit: 1-3 credit hours) This an elective course. Students will engage in a guided self-study using nationally prepared study materials for a selected accounting certification including Certified Management Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Government Financial Manager, Certification in QuickBooks, and others. Where permitted by certifying agency, students will sit for the certifying exam during the semester. Credit hours depend on suggested preparation time of study materials. Prerequisite: Completion of related 3000-level accounting course with a C or better.
