Catalog description
This course prepares the student to manage the therapy of patients with conditions or diseases affecting the neurological and psychiatric systems. The course focuses on the foundational knowledge and application of principles using active learning pedagogy in a team-taught environment. The course vertically integrates basic pharmaceutical sciences with therapeutics, patient assessment, epidemiology, and administrative and psycho-social behavioral issues involved in the prevention and treatment of neurological and psychiatric system disorders. Prerequisites: P3 standing; PHAR-6256 Therapeutics III; PHAR-6257 Therapeutics IV; PHAR-6268 Synthesis II; PHAR-6269 Integrated Skills Lab II; or approval from instructor.
