Catalog description

This course prepares the student to manage the therapy of patients with conditions or diseases affecting the gastrointestinal and respiratory systems. The course focuses on the foundational knowledge and application of principles using active learning pedagogy in a team-taught environment. The course vertically integrates basic pharmaceutical sciences with therapeutics, patient assessment, epidemiology, and administrative and psycho-social behavioral issues involved in the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory system disorders. Prerequisite: P2 standing or approval from instructor.
