Catalog description

After 12 months of intensive study and didactic coursework, you are ready to apply clinical skills, interpersonal communication, medical knowledge, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving to real-life patient assessment, diagnosis, and management through supervised clinical practice experiences (SCPEs) in the four-week Clinical Rotation in Behavioral Medicine. The emphasis of this rotation is to engage you in the care of patients with behavioral or psychiatric conditions or diseases and help to deepen your understanding and appreciation of the role of mental health in patient wellness and disease. Prerequisites: Acceptance into the PA program. Successful completion of preceding courses in PA program.
