Catalog description

After 12 months of intensive study and didactic coursework, you are ready to apply clinical skills, interpersonal communication, medical knowledge, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving to real-life patient assessment, diagnosis, and management through supervised clinical practice experiences (SCPEs) in the 4-week Clinical Rotation in Internal Medicine. The emphasis of Internal Medicine is to provide comprehensive and ongoing medical care to adult and elderly patients with acute and chronic diseases and conditions. Prerequisites: Acceptance into the PA program. Successful completion of preceding courses in PA program.
