Catalog description
Second course of a four-course sequence covering the concepts of calculus and analytic geometry. Includes applications of integration to finding volumes of revolution, L'Hopital's Rule, integration of the natural logarithmic function and inverse trigonometric functions, and techniques of single-variable integration such as integration by parts, trigonometric substitution, partial fractions, and improper integrals. Also includes sequences, series, expansion of function into Taylor and power series, conic sections, plane curves, calculus of parametric equations, arc length, polar coordinates and polar graphs. Prerequisite: MATH-1705 Calculus I or equivalent; or permission of instructor.
