Introduction to engineering thermodynamics, properties of pure substances, work, heat, first and second laws of thermodynamics, energy, enthalpy, and entropy. Specific application to power, refrigeration cycles, and combustion processes. Prerequisites: CHEM-1050 Chemistry for Engineers; MATH-2705 Calculus IIIA or MATH-2710 Calculus III.
