Catalog description

A course with an investigative approach to topics such as logic, history of mathematics from underrepresented cultures, and teaching mathematics to diverse cultures. Mathematical modeling, formulating and solving problems for both mathematical and everyday situations are included. Real world connections provide opportunities for exploration and communication by written, oral, and technological presentations. Prerequisite: EDUC-2800 Principles of Mathematics II.
