Catalog description

An examination of social studies curricula in the Primary (P-5) with particular emphasis on the Ohio Model, the NCSS Standards, Ohio history, and the integration of social studies with other disciplines. Instructional methodologies that emphasize the teaching of thinking, student interaction, and the use of instructional technologies will be modeled and practiced. Application of the skills in the field as required. Prerequisite: Successful completion of the Primary (P-5) Methods I block. Corequisites: Other courses in the Primary (P-5) Methods II block.
