Catalog description

This course provides a foundational, evidence-based framework for therapeutic intervention used in athletic training and sports medicine. Content emphasizes tissue healing, pain science, clinical reasoning, and an introduction to safe application of therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercise, therapeutic modalities, and manual therapy techniques. Students learn to identify clinical problems, develop treatment goals, and select appropriate interventions to build an initial plan of care and justify intervention selection using evidence-based practice.
