Catalog description
A study of the clinical application of radiation therapy, including external beam and brachytherapy, and particle therapy. Lesson on calibration, acquisition, and application of the external beams, brachytherapy and particle therapy. The critical issues of shaping radiation pulses in the tradeoff of effective lesion destruction and avoiding surrounding healthy tissue damage. Modern optimization techniques for this tradeoff including AI tools. Prereq: Graduate Student standing.
