Catalog description

A study of the interactions between (ionizing) radiation and biological tissues, the effects and damage of such radiation on cells and their DNA, how to do experiments to study such effects, the safety precautions dictated by government standards, the effects of radiation of different kinds used in imaging, the connection between this understanding and treatments of malignancies/disease/cancer, and the scientific method underpinning. Prereq: Graduate Student standing.
