Catalog description
The status of sex education across the United States is inconsistent, and this course is designed to fill the gaps and provide medically accurate sexual health information with the intent on helping individuals make informed decisions about their own sexual projects. Building communication skills, reflecting on identities, understanding consent, and developing digital media literacy are all intertwined throughout this course. This course serves as a comprehensive, queer and disability inclusive, approach to sex education, discussing everything from anatomy, relationships, contraception, pornography, BDSM and Kink. By completing this course students will identify their personal values, beliefs, and goals as it relates to their sex lives and be able to communicate with others to uphold consent and boundaries. Counts as a Full-Semester Wellness/Non-movement course. Counts as a Human Diversity & Commonality course.
